About Tom Sonnier

Tom is a customer focused, detail-oriented professional who specializes in building relationships and garnering trust. He spent 20+ years owning a successful Franchise business, which taught him to stay customer centered in order to find success. He has the ability to quickly ascertain a customers’ needs and determine the best means to help them achieve their goals.

Between his wife and the two sons they raised in The Colony, he has spent years involved in his church and other local civic and personal activities. He’s very familiar with The Colony and its changing environment.

Tom Sonnier, born and raised in Houston, moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. After college, Tom began his professional career in the service industry, which sparked his Entrepreneurial desire. Tom moved his growing family to the DFW area in 1998, where he became the owner of a local franchise of an international corporation, which he operated successfully for 20+ years. During his ownership, Tom served on various local and national committees, including president of the local advertising co-op and chairman of the national franchise advisory council.

In addition to a rigorous work schedule, Tom also found time to mesh the more important things, like family time and supporting, as well as coaching his two sons’ athletic teams. He also mentored young men on the importance of honesty, leadership and team spirit. During this time, Tom learned many valuable lessons and developed a variety of skills. The strongest was the importance of providing outstanding professional customer service, building unwavering relationships and loyalty to those that he serves.
